Investing in Residents Belle Haven is rapidly changing, and our future depends on local and community decision making that's committed to addressing residents concerns. My commitment is to increase the community's involvement in the decision making process
Schools As a parent, I support the desires of Belle Haven neighbors to gain independence from the Ravenswood School District, since the city council has little to no say regarding this matter, I will support School Board candidates who intend to lead the movement toward independence.
Vibrant Neighborhood Residents of Belle Haven deserve to live in an active dynamic neighboorhood. It is essential that we to encourage the growth of small business in our neighborhood to create a sense of vibrancy and accessibility that is equal to the greater city of Menlo Park.
Transportation Infrastructure An influx of traffic is the downside to any thriving economy. While we want to see our local economy to thrive, our job and business market grow, we also need to ease traffic constraints. Like many neighbors, I feel the traffic crunch in our neighborhood. I am committed to working with neighboring cities and the private sector to explore expanding public transit to the areas that are most affected, request and review proposals to create a funding plan. By partnering with the private sector, and implementing the latest technology we could solve the last mile of the traffic that has created a significant problem. A project such as this could become a reality much faster if public funds are not needed.
Neighborhood Safety For our neighborhood to thrive and maintain its vibrancy, our residents must feel safe while walking, driving and riding their bikes. I am committed to ensuring that all of our residents feel safe. I support compassionate, smart policing, transparency and building bonds early on between youth and law enforcement.
